Our yoga classes typically begins with a relaxation in Savasana, allowing the body to settle and the mind to become calm and focused. This grounding moment is crucial as it sets the tone for the rest of the session.

Next, we move into an opening sequence, loosely based on the Pawanmuktasana Antirheumatic series, intended to gently loosen the joints and stretch the muscles. The movements are simple yet effective, encouraging mobility in the ankles, knees, hips, and shoulders. Each motion is synchronized with the breath, promoting a rhythm that enhances relaxation and helps release tension. Regular practice helps promote the flow of synovial fluid, improving joint lubrication and making them supple.

Gentle twisting and side-bending actions follow, providing a light stretch to the spine and sides of the torso. These movements also encourage a mild massage to the internal organs, supporting digestive health and overall vitality. The sequence gradually builds warmth in the body while maintaining a relaxed state, preparing the practitioner for the deeper stretches and poses to come.

Continuing Sequences are

A gentle Standing Sequence followed by a Hip Mobility sequence, a back strengthening Spinal Sequence, and a Reclining Sequence for abdominal health.
